Job Description As the Logistics Assistant, you are accountable for assisting the Logistics Coordinator in arranging outgoing and incoming shipments of all Bylands Nurseries Ltd. product in a timely and cost-effective manner. Communicate via phone with: Logistics companies, freight suppliers Customers Sales staff Facilitate cart/pallet pick-up at customer locations throughout the season Ensure that drivers have correct & organized documentation (Bills of Lading, invoices, & export documentation for US loads) Confirm that Proof of Deliveries are returned and properly filed Qualifications Our Culture of Excellence supports our Vision (Enhancing Lives With Plants). Fast paced, high pressure environment during the spring shipping season Diverse workforce with many ESL employees and guest workers from other countries. This is a full-time, contract position earning $17/hr from April 20, 2020 to May 29, 2020. Hours worked will be: Monday to Thursday = 9 hour days Saturday = 4 hours Off Friday & Sunday
