Team Leader Applications are invited for the position of Team Leader in Value Centre Dundalk on a permanent full time basis. Purpose of the Role The successful candidate will provide support to the Cash & Carry Management Team to ensure the Value Centre operates in a professional, compliant and profitable manner. Key responsibilities include Communicating effectively with customers and staff The supervision / mentoring / training of new and existing staff The effective and timely management of all Customer Service queries, in a professional manner Assisting with customer sales Attention to detail in all aspects – ensuring accurate, professional and speedy processing of customer orders through checkout Handling money efficiently and accurately Monitoring, reporting and explaining shortages in either stock or cash on a daily / weekly basis Preparing and reconciling all relevant reports as per required timelines Supporting the Credit Control department in the effective and timely management of all customer debt ledger accounts Setting up of customer accounts assigning agreed terms and appropriate details Ensuring full compliance with the Wholesale Standards Programme Co-operation and participation in all Health & Safety, and Security requirements To assist in warehouse activities where there is an operational requirement To undertake any other activities as required in line with operational demands The successful candidate will Be a highly motivated self-starter Have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with customers and suppliers in a professional manner Have experience in a customer-facing role Have experience of the licensed and/or grocery, catering trade Have the ability to contribute to the management of day-to-day floor operation of the Cash & Carry, including staff, stock control, deliveries & merchandising Have previous buying and stock control experience (advantageous) Have some understanding of HACCP
