Mission The primary role of the Logistics Manager is to manage, organize and control the technical procurement and warehouse activities in order to timely deliver 24h/day serviceable aircraft spares and different services at the lowest market price with full traceability at all times for the whole Brussels Airlines Fleet Airbus A320 Family and A330. The Logistics Manager ensures the execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, demand management, warehouse management and transport. Tasks Technical procurement: Manages efficiently all procurement activities applicable in a maintenance and engineering environment: Develop, defend and monitor a yearly purchasing (goods & services) budget for the support of around 50 airplanes and based on the future flight and maintenance planning events. Apply existing contracts and assist in the negotiation of new contracts (price, services…) for the repair of all aircraft spares including f.e. engines, landing gears, components. Approve/ reject/ negotiate repair and overhaul quotes and services from maintenance suppliers. Chase Credit notes and warranty claims. Verify and approve invoices. Build relationships with suppliers and internal customers through the resolution of delivery issues. Analyse the demand and consumption patterns to identify the procurement strategy (automatic reordering, Kanban setup, …) Assure that components and equipment are bought from or sent for repair to EASA./F.A.A. approved suppliers and repair stations by consulting the list of approved suppliers and repair stations. Buy and ship for repair, components and materials with respect for the best interest of the organization (prices, T.A.T., etc.) Warehouse management Is responsible for the warehouse activities: Guarantees a correct incoming inspection to all parts entering the warehouse in accordance with the local aviation regulations Keeps the stock at an adequate level with regard to the need for Line and Base Maintenance of the Brussels Airlines fleet based on flight operations Optimizes and guarantees an efficient and well documented Inventory control on the consumable and rotable stock (incl consignment stock) according international airworthiness rules. Follow-up of the life of all components by introducing life history and accomplished task in order to feed the planning system AMOS with all necessary info to guarantee the airworthiness of these components. Organize the sales of components and surplus material Supervise test and measuring equipment, assuring that periodic checks and calibrations are made and that the current records are maintained of those calibrations. Assure corrective action resulting from quality compliance monitoring. Develop and implement a healthy and safe work environment. Transport Management Organizes efficient transport from and to the different suppliers or internal customers: Define requirements and specifications for the transport and ensures the implementation of new routing strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed requirements & internal customer expectations. Develop, defend and monitor a yearly transport budget for the support the Brussels Airlines fleet and the destinations. Support customs and handling of dangerous goods. Apply existing contracts and negotiate new contracts (price, conditions,…) for the transport of all aircraft spares Guarantee a door to door monitoring and internal communication to maintenance planning and production of the critical transports. Profile Relevant Bachelor or Master degree Knowledge and experience in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Operations Natural leadership skills, able to lead and guide your people in their development (group of 20 people) Experience in Project Management Methodologies Strong negotiator as well on financial as technical fields Knowledge of cost accounting and investment analysis Excellent presentation skills Experience in effective stakeholder management Very good in Dutch/English verbal and written skills, French is a plus: written + oral; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint.. .) and IT soft skills Good organizational skills; Strong analytical skills; Very good influencing, coaching and motivational skills; Problem solver, able to conduct root cause analysis & out-of-the-box thinking; Good communication and reporting skills; Team player.
