College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences Department of Mathematics Department Administrative Assistant Vacancy Ref: 13470 Salary (Grade S5): £25,233 - £28,881 per annum inclusive of £2,166 per annum London Allowance Full-time, permanent (Job Sharing possible) The College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences is seeking to appoint a Department Administrative Assistant within the Department of Mathematics. This is an interesting and wide-ranging position that works with the Department Administrator in providing excellent administrative support and responding to daily enquiries from students, members of academic and administrative staff, both by email and in person. The successful candidate will support the Department Administrator in activities such as administrative and secretarial support, raising purchase requests, submitting expense claims, organising and minute taking. Additionally there may be the opportunity to undertake more project focused work such as supporting the department’s employability initiatives or providing administrative support for conferences. The post holder will able to work unsupervised, show initiative & diplomacy, have excellent diary management skills with good attention to detail and relevant experience would be an advantage.
