We are currently looking for a Band 6 MSK Podiatrist to work alongside a Band 7 MSK lead within an established Podiatry MSK service, to support and enable development of this service. Bromley Healthcare is an innovative, forward thinking Community Interest Company providing Community Healthcare to Bromley residents and also certain services in Croydon and Lewisham. This is an opportunity to join a committed, progressive team who work in a challenging and motivating environment, the successful candidates will have a community focused clinical caseload with a responsibility to provide foot health care and advice to patients with “at risk” feet. We are looking for HCPC Registered Podiatrists with a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience with a high degree of motivation and clinical skills, you will need a flexible approach to service provision with the ability to work as part of a team as well as individually. The successful candidate will be required to have excellent diagnostic and clinical skills to deliver a range of podiatry treatments including wound care, at risk and biomechanical interventions for patients in Bromley. We have recently reassessed our podiatry caseload to target our services on patients who are medically at risk and who have a high podiatric need, consequently our patients tend to be complex with a variety of needs. We would therefore expect you to be able to confidently reassess and discharge where appropriate. Although based in a clinical setting, the role is across the Bromley Healthcare area with a home visit case load. Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. The post holder will be up to date with current best practice and demonstrate Bromley Healthcare values in their day to day role working as part of a team. We value health promotion through patient empowerment and education, therefore we require podiatrists who have excellent communication and assessment skills. Podiatry is a very busy department and the successful candidates will need to demonstrate an ability to organise workloads in a timely and efficient manner and good communication skills and ability to work as a team player. All team members are supported and developed through a structured annual appraisal process. We encourage team members to take part in various CPD activities including clinical supervision, in-house training during department meetings in addition to external training sessions.
