Customer Services Adviser/Admin Assistant Brockenhurst College has an exciting opportunity for a Student Services Adviser/Administration Assistant to join its team. You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis (office is open from 8.30am to 5.30pm over 52 weeks). In return you will receive a competitive salary of £15,800 - £18,012 per annum. Organisation Brockenhurst College Curriculum/Support Area Admissions & Progression Job Type Permanent Employment Basis Full time Working hours per week 37.5 Location Brockenhurst College Salary £15,800 to £18,012 Closing date 08/03/2020 The Student Services Adviser/Administration Assistant role: You will provide a high quality customer service and administrative support service within the Student Services Admin Hub. Key responsibilities as our Student Services Adviser/Administration Assistant: Developing and maintaining the administration of both on and off-site activities. Maintaining filing and document management systems. Responding to telephone and e-mail enquiries. Recording a variety of information via internal systems. Preparing documents and letters involving use of Microsoft programs. Providing administrative support to Student Finance. Shredding or disposing of confidential waste. Checking documents or spreadsheets. Ensuring that the supply of materials is kept up to date. Receiving and processing telephone and e-mail enquiries in relation to student applications. Processing general correspondence to support the work of the Admissions Co-ordinator. Provide friendly and efficient customer service on a daily rota basis to the “one stop” Customer Services Helpdesk and/or Reception, enabling students, parents, other customers and staff to access a range of front line support services including Information, Advice and Guidance; the issue of travel passes/ SU cards; purchase of books; trips and activities; booking of appointments with the pastoral team and Hardship monies. Key skills and experience required to become our Student Services Adviser/Administration Assistant: GCSEs (or equivalent) including Grade C in English and Grade D or above in Mathematics. Office based work experience. Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (including Word and Excel) Accuracy and attention to detail A desire to achieve excellent interpersonal, communication, organisation and administrative skills. Energy and enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service. Commitment to maximising opportunities for own learning and development. Able to work as part of a team, establishing a good rapport with colleagues, staff and managers. Desire to contribute to the continuing development and effectiveness of the student admin, admissions and schools liaison team. Flexibility in working pattern to cover peak times and the very occasional Saturday.
