Job Description Working within the Symantec Enterprise Division (SED) of Broadcom, this role is for a highly skilled and self-motived pre-sales engineer that wants to work with the world’s best security technologies. If you enjoy solving puzzles or building solutions to challenges faced by the world’s largest companies this role will reward you. We are seeking a new member to our specialist family of security pre-sales staff. Working out of the Singapore office, you would be able to travel throughout the South Pacific Asia region supporting strategic customers and helping share your specialist skills with them. Key Responsibilities Customer demonstrations and presentations Co-ordinating and managing evaluations, proof of concepts, or proof of value exercises, across the Symantec Enterprise Division (SED) product portfolio Demonstrate product and solution value through detailed technical walkthroughs Design solutions utilising the SED portfolio, and showing value with 3rd party products and portfolios Be/Become an expert on SED solutions as well as the market space we focus on Review, discuss and workshop best practices, partnerships and industry trends Actively research and discuss competitive information in the marketplace with the sales team and prospects Partnering with our Product Management, Product Marketing & Development on influencing the direction of our solutions Ensuring total customer satisfaction with strategic customers Participating in conferences, shows, exhibitions or special customer events when appropriate and requested Contribute to and refine Technical RFP/RFI responses Qualifications/Requirements Understand and appreciate the value of Security solutions to an organization Experience and exposure to Network, Endpoint, Information, Identity, and cloud Security, and all underlying technical theory. Have exposure to, or experience in, endpoint security solutions, endpoint detection technologies, endpoint protection technologies, cloud security technologies. Have a bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or closely related field, or equivalent experience Possess working knowledge of common operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows, etc.) Possess experience and understanding of all common cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc) Understand common shell scripting languages, including PowerShell, Python, PHP, etc Understand the concepts around API integrations including differences in REST vs SOAP vs Socket Have good communication skills; including the ability to clearly articulate and differentiate our Security offerings Great Presentation skills Strong general security industry knowledge and awareness Must be willing to travel and sometimes on very short notice Understand IT areas such as, but not limited to: Operational Security Security Operations Endpoint Security Network Security Informational Security Cloud Security Application Security Risk and Risk assessments Threat and Vulnerability Assessments DevOps concepts is a plus If you are located outside USA, please be sure to fill out a home address as this will be used for future correspondence.
