We are looking for a Food Safety & Microbiology Specialist to join our Kylemore factory, to work with the operations teams to achieve the required quality, safety and environmental standards. You’ll contribute towards achieving required targets, objectives, legislative requirements, franchise and company standards, through effective control, operation and maintenance of plant and processes. What we’re looking for: In depth knowledge and experience in quality, food safety, microbiology, safety or environmental role, preferably in an FMCG environment with a good knowledge of production processes and packaging Operations and project management experience Implementation of QSE processes and standards Knowledge of ISO/OHSAS/FSSC/Good Practice Standards Analytical quality skills ideally related to soft drinks Knowledge of all relevant areas of food and water legislation and related microbiological issues Effective communication with external agencies, trading standards and auditing bodies Incident investigation through use of continuous improvement tools for root cause and prevention Experience of working within continuous improvement programmes relating to QSE Qualifications: Third level education in food science, manufacturing, quality or related discipline Food Safety Certification Internal auditor qualification HACCP qualification Competency in health safety and environment requirements for manufacturing Excellent computer skills in particular advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel At Britvic, we’re on a journey to become the most dynamic, creative and trusted soft drinks company in the world.
