PRODUCTION TIG/MIG WELDER Britannia has been servicing Australian original equipment manufacturers since 1941. We have been assisting clients in the design, manufacture and delivery of sheetmetal components and are Melbourne’s longest continuously operating sheetmetal fabrication facility. If you share our passion of Australian manufacturing, we'd like to hear from you. We are seeking suitably skilled production welders to join our team. Positions available for day shift and afternoon shifts. Skills required for the position: A welding qualification. Evidence of fabrication/production welding experience. Ability to weld aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel. Ranges from 1.00mm to 12.00mm. Preparedness to undergo a pre-employment weld test to prove competence for various welding procedures. Ability to read engineering drawings. Ability to use measuring equipment. Basic understanding of safety requirements within a manufacturing environment. Prepared to learn new technology. A desire to consistently produce quality welds that comply with Australian and relevant International standards. Ability to interpret fabrication and welding drawings. Managing distortion in all metal thicknesses. Willingness to engage in teamwork. Willingness to perform non-welding work on occasions as directed.
