Brand Developers Ltd (trading as the TV Shop) is Australasia's leading Direct Response TV company selling high demand products through multi-channel distribution - DRTV, digital and retail channels. We are a diverse, vertically integrated business spanning advertising, sales, research and development, manufacturing, distribution and advertisement production. We are seeking a strong administrator with a head for numbers, who is accurate and has a freight, customs, dangerous goods, supply chain systems and purchasing background to join our Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Freight & Logistics Project Manager, your responsibilities will include: Handling import and export activities between NZ and AU and vice-versa Preparing import and export documents Deciding on best Airline and shipping line options to be used Booking and checking Courier exports from Australia and New Zealand Understanding HS Customs classification codes in Australia and New Zealand Overseeing Tariff and Duty Concessions Applications Entering freight invoices and data into purchase orders. Knowledge of IATA and IMO DG regulations Processing Supply Chain POs Allocate SKU codes Reconciliation and checking of invoices against purchase orders calculating percentage weight of products Maintaining the product shipping database Negotiating and achieving the best product pricing, lead time and trading terms from suppliers Ensuring all products meet internal quality standards and applicable New Zealand regulatory requirements Keeping and tracking precise records of all incoming and outgoing company shipments Approving and processing Supplier payments with the accounts team Provision of freight-related reports. You will have at least one year of experience in the freight and purchasing arena and strong administrative skills. Key to the success of this role is your numeracy, analytical skills and close attention to detail, coupled with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Naturally you will have strong computer knowledge with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel. Strong communication and the ability to work in a team is also essential. Working 7.30am to 4.00 pm to work in line with Supplier payment deadlines and banking processing requirements. This role is based at our Avondale site.
