Back in ‘07, Boojum hit the food scene in Ireland as one of the most exciting and disruptive concepts to hit the high street in a long time. What started as a tiny outlet in Botanic Avenue, Belfast, has grown to become Ireland’s most loved Mexican-inspired burrito chain with 13 restaurants, 2 stunning head office locations, an incredible production kitchen and a vision for many more to come. Meet The Team We are obsessed with food and obsessed with customer service. And with food like ours, how is that not something to get behind? From our incredible production kitchen and 13 beautiful stores through to our 2 stunning head office locations, the entire team is focused on delivering a product that everyone can be proud of, every damn day. We place a strong focus on progression. 70% of our general managers have worked their way up from crew level positions and 100% of kitchen managers, assistant managers and supervisors have been developed from crew roles. Our central support team is a strong mix of team members who have moved into HR, Finance and marketing roles, having started their career in one of our restaurants, and exceptional external team members who brought with them a wealth of experience and energy. Boojum invests time in people and work closely with all staff members at all levels to ensure they are fulfilled in their jobs and have room for growth and progression at all levels, for all ages/ groups etc. Aoife Lynch: Marketing Assistant: Back in 2016 I bagged the absolute dream of any aspiring marketer living in Belfast... an internship with Boojum! 11 store openings, a million social posts, about 50 campaigns and precisely 4 years and 4 months later I am still here and loving it. If I had to summarise my role in 3 words I would go with "fun", "nonstop" and "creative", we are always striving to innovate to stay ahead of industry trends and this keeps things fresh, as we're forever evolving as a brand. Oh, and thanks to Boojum I have just completed my CIM qualification! Kelly Waide: Accounts Payable Manager: I started working for Boojum in July 2016. I was the Office Manager for 3 and a half years then in 2019 I joined the finance team as the AP manager. My favourite thing about working for Boojum is definitely the people I work alongside. A bunch of professionals, the best in the industry at what they do, that I learn from them every day. It is a company that makes me feel respected and valued that motivates me to do my job to the best of my ability. I can see a long career with Boojum, I am excited to see where the journey will will lead me but for now I am focusing on mastering my AP role.
