This summer be a part of BHI's long and successful history of providing sustainable engineering solutions for our clients. We provide surveying and mapping services, civil engineering, planning and design expertise for water and wastewater, private development, structures, traffic and transportation, and municipal projects. A Summer internship in our Spatial Data department is available in Albuquerque. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to experience hands on modification of geospatial open source tools, and development of tools to visualize geospatial data while participating in our fun and dynamic internship program. Interns will be provided an opportunity to work on leading edge mapping projects together with our team of professionals. The student intern will assist our staff in the production of on-going spatial data projects. These projects typically have innovative aspects and we certainly would desire a candidate with an innovative spirit and good spatial problem-solving skills. WHO YOU ARE Candidates must be pursuing a computer programming degree, have knowledge of gaming development software (Unreal Engine) and Geoweb open source tool sets (Leaflet). Candidates with JavaScript and HTML programming knowledge are also considered qualified. The position requires strong computer and organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, ability to problem solve, and work in a team environment. Primary Job Functions The Student Intern will work under the supervision of a senior geospatial analyst and will assist in developing Geoweb applications and geospatial data visualizations.
