We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our Finance team based in Port Melbourne. The Project accountant will be responsible for the planning, budgeting and provision of both financial and commercial analysis for a non-recurring Engineering & production project About the Role: Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Providing day to day financial advice and monthly reporting across all levels (including executive) Monitoring actuals against forecast, forward projections Preparation of Headcount FTE (Full Time Equivalent) forecasts and analysis of overtime Preparation and ongoing maintenance of EAC (Estimate At Completion) calculations Liaise with project team, supplier management and receiving functions to Ensure receiving transactions are processed correctly and in a timely manner Ensure Purchase Order issues are resolved and processed correctly Reconciliation, communication & management of actual spend to project budget Tracking of outstanding budget for materials and services Reporting on incurred cost & cash flow management About You: To be successful at this role you are: Proactive & agile – able to anticipate issues, analyse and resolve problems in advance Able to work issues through to resolution Comfortable in an Operational Finance environment and working with non-Accountants Ability to analyze data, highlight trends, opportunities and risks Enjoy hands-on aspects of accounting for a project Enjoy being away from the desk & working with people Comfortable prioritizing tasks and working to deadlines An excellent communicator at all levels Thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment To be considered, you will also bring the following experience: CPA / CA qualified Demonstrated business and commercial skills Previous experience with Supplier Management and Receiving functions Knowledge of foreign currency procurement Knowledge of project methods and Work Breakdown Structures SAP Financials and SAP Projects experience preferred Ability to problem solve in an ever changing and fast paced environment At Boeing Aerostructures Australia, we are committed to creating an inclusive and incident and injury free workplace, where employees can realise their career goals and make a positive contribution to Boeing's success.
