Job Description Graded Trades Mechanical people ensure that production assets and equipment remain online and receive scheduled maintenance in our Plate Processing and Despatch plant where there are Processing lines and beds. Working with the Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator you will play a role to ensure that production assets remain online and receive scheduled maintenance. There is a variety of heavy machinery to maintain such as processing/ manufacturing equipment and gantry cranes among other equipment. You will be required to undertake: daily inspections; perform scheduling planned maintenance; and work on breakdown call-outs. Working the day shift there is occasional pre-planned weekend shutdown work and an annual shutdown for extensive maintenance. You may also be required to provide shift support on occasion. Who are we looking for? We are considering trade fitters most experience levels who have worked with heavy manufacturing equipment or would like to. A mechanical trade with appropriate certification/qualifications is essential. A forklift, crane or riggers license would be useful but is not essential.
