Financial Controller for £20m turnover care business. Black Swan is a growing care group with 20 care homes across East Anglia and is now looking to add to their senior team with this appointment. Main Duties 1. Prepare and present financial information to the Directors in a format agreed by the Managing Director; provide relevant information as needed at other times and provide support to the business planning process 2. Prepare annual accounts for audit, support the annual audit process 3. Work with the Managing Director and leadership team to develop annual budgets, provide monthly cash-flow and actuals updates on a monthly basis 4. Work with managers across departments to ensure financial procedures are undertaken correctly and efficiently; manage petty cash; review business expenditure on a regular basis 5. Ensure all financial transactions are undertaken correctly and are accurately Documented 6. Ensure salaries and expenses are paid correctly, ensure pension contributions are deducted and paid in accordance with the pension rules; manage and keep up to date the auto enrolment pension scheme; liaise with HR to ensure employee details are kept up to date in all finance systems; ensure HMRC deductions paid correctly and on time, manage apprenticeship levy payments 7. Ensure all purchases for the company are ordered efficiently and processed according to internal procedures; reconcile on a monthly basis 8. Work closely with the Managing Director to develop and implement a sustainable business plan 9. Train and support key-staff to have a sound understanding and skill level in financial management; keep policies and procedures updated and submitted for approval within the company processes 10. Support the Managing Director with the development and implantation of a sustainable 3 year plan for our Homes and potential opportunities 11. To participate and support other activities from time-to-time; based on the needs of the organisation and/or the experience of the post holder. The unique skill-set and knowledge of the post holder will help shape the development and direction of this role.
