The Team Leader will support the academic activities of the School and take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a team of four administrative staff within the Department. In addition to the core responsibilities of the role, post holders will be expected to undertake a portfolio of other responsibilities, according to the needs of the School and to complement the rest of the administrative staff team. These may include student services and administration or central service department liaison (including process and procedure developments, marketing and publicity, web, finance, human resources, learning resources, disability liaison, etc.) This is an exciting time to join the School of Arts. Following an internal restructuring of the administrative team the Team Leader will be instrumental in the success of the change management process, building a new team, developing streamlined processes and sharing best practice. The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator with excellent organisation skills and a pro-active approach to problem solving who can work independently and has the ability to define their own priorities and those of the team. S/he will be able to work flexibly and effectively, occasionally under pressure, across a range of projects to meet demanding deadlines. The postholder will have a proven commitment to customer service, quality improvement and the delivery of results. S/he will have excellent verbal and written communication skills substantial evidence of working with office systems and procedures, experience of supervising staff in a line management capacity and of monitoring and reporting on budgets. Remuneration: Grade 6 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £33,836 rising to £38,594 per annum. The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the Greater London area.
