Education is one of the guiding Five Tenets of Biltmore Farms, and one of the most significant ways we demonstrate that value is through our offering of an exciting 10-week internship program in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina! Through the Biltmore Farms 2020 Corporate Office Summer Internship, students will be able to see the inner workings of our multi-faceted company which includes divisions in Community Development, Commercial Property Management, Home Building, and Hospitality. Summer Interns will receive an immersive experience in a dynamic, collaborative, and innovative work environment. For Summer 2020, we are pleased to offer internship opportunities in the following disciplines: Archiving & Historical Preservation, Finance & Human Resources, and Marketing & Social Media. Archiving & Historical Preservation Internship The Archiving & Historical Preservation Summer Intern will identify and catalogue historical documents and objects from our decades-old collection. This intern will also organize and properly store catalogued items to be maintained in perpetuity. Qualified candidates will be currently working toward or have recently completed studies in a related field. Candidates will also be highly organized, have a reverence for history, and possess knowledge of records management methods. Finance & Human Resources Internship The Finance & Human Resources Summer Intern will assist with essential day-to-day functions of these key departments and support their strategic alignment across all divisions of the company. They will be assigned special individual projects and participate in teamwork for company-wide initiatives. Qualified candidates will be currently working toward or have recently completed studies in a related field. Candidates will also have working knowledge of key accounting practices, an awareness of corporate organizational structures, and will be organized with an attention to detail. Marketing & Social Media Internship The Marketing & Social Media Summer Intern will produce content for Biltmore Farms' various social media channels under the guidance of each divisional Marketing Manager (Communities, Commercial, and Hospitality). This intern will also report analytics, edit images, and create graphics to promote brand awareness and engagement. Qualified candidates will be currently working toward or have recently completed studies in a related field. Candidates will also have working knowledge of various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, et. al.) and basic graphic design skills. Interest in photography and video a plus. In addition to their immersive learning experience in their chosen discipline, Summer Interns will enhance and apply their skills in communication, time management, decision making, teamwork, presenting, and project management.
