Big Ass Fans is growing! We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team! Responsibilities: Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish tasks Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems Developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity Manufacturing process project management for sustained, continuous improvement and NPI Specifically, we will expect you to: Improve production quality and efficiencies, reduce cost and waste, using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations Develop processes for new products Troubleshoot new and existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes Review product designs for manufacturability and completeness Train production personnel in new or existing methods Design, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment Implement and maintain safety systems for process equipment Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field 5+ years of related experience in Industrial Engineering Strong Project Management experience Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles Experience with PLC programming is a plus Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks or other CAD software Why live life Big Ass?
