The role involves working closely with a group of paralegals, legal assistants and lawyers to ensure files are completed in a timely and stream-lined manner. The Incentives: · Competitive Salary · Comprehensive benefit plan including health and wellness package · Group RSP matching · Work-life balance · Monthly firm lunch and team building events The Tasks: · Incorporations · Corporate reorganizations · Business Transactions · Annual corporate maintenance in British Columbia and Federal corporations · Corresponding with clients and solicitors · Training new paralegals and articling students Ideal attributes of the candidate: · 5 years of experience in a corporate paralegal role · Strong background in corporate reorganizations for privately-held companies, incorporations, business acquisitions, and due diligence · Strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively · Timely, proactive, and detail-oriented · In-depth experience using ALF Corporate software, Outlook, and Word · Completion of the Paralegal Diploma or equivalent · Adaptive at adopting new technology and software · Experience with PC Law and Worldox would be beneficial · Ability to manage stress in a positive manner · Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative · Positive and patient attitude when working with members of a team and with training junior paralegals and articling students.
