Operation Manager -Law, Patents, Compliance & Insurances The jobholder is accountable for the provision of transactional services and standard counselling in the areas of law, compliance and data privacy, as well as conduction of compliance investigations to all Bayer legal entities and units in region [APAC] (LPCX Region). The jobholder thereby protects the assets and reputation of Bayer and ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in the LPCX Region. The role serves the global LPC and Bayer management as interface and strategic point of contact for legal, compliance and Data Privacy matters in the LPCX Region. The Jobholder is accountable for adherence to Bayer’s controlling & accounting standards and the LPCX’s financial budget. 3. Major tasks and responsibilities of position (max. 8 key topics) Build and ensure organizational and operational excellence of the LPCX teams in the LPCX Region; Provide leadership to the LPCX team; ensure adequate staffing, onboarding, work assignments and organization and talent development; foster a culture of excellence in team internal collaboration and service mentality Ensure, supervise and manage the timely provision of all services assigned to the LPCX team; establish quality control systems and continuous improvement processes; drive the further digitalization and automation of services Steer and ensure LPCX Services are provided within the agreed budget. Proactively contribute to the exchange of knowledge and experience with LPCX teams in other regions, functional leadership and local LPC business partners, in order to ensure comparable standards of service provision across all regions and geographies and adherence to and implementation of global processes, policies and standards at all times; identify risks, ensure the development and implementation of mitigation measures in alignment with the global LPCX organization; provide advice on further regionalization potential within LPC Collaborate with other corporate and country functions and with regard to the services Ensure monitoring of new developments in the laws and industry codes in all countries of the LPCX region, keep the LPC organization adequately informed and ensure that the provision of Services always includes adherence to new legal requirements. 5.
