We are seeking to add a Legal Assistant to our team in Plantation, Florida. This role includes supporting the Chief Legal Officer, providing administration support to our legal and claims departments and ensuring the company complies with all federal, state and local laws. In addition, the individual in this role will provide internal support and training to our Underwriting, Operations and Accounting departments to prevent potential legal issues. Responsibilities: Responsibilities: Assist Chief Legal Officer Respond to Subpoenas – research and prepare files Respond to Regulators – research and prepare files Review, research and reply to requests for internal assistance Review claims issues and escalate if needed Prepare and send UW files to carriers and/or adjusters Handle consumer complaints Monitor corporate and exec licenses Legal research as needed Review and respond to London and domestic carrier compliance issues Qualifications: Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.) Underwriting experience preferred but not required Strong customer orientation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills Detail Oriented Maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive information Team player with a commitment to company values Strong organizational skills
