Barking & Dagenham College is a vibrant and highly successful College in East London with circa 12,500 students, circa 500 established staff and a turnover of £35m. The College offers routes into learning from entry level through to MBA level, including apprenticeships, higher level apprentices, higher education and job centre plus clients. We have technical specialist areas from level 3 and above with a broad based curriculum up to level 2. In an increasingly competitive market. We are looking to recruit an experienced marketing professional on a 12-month maternity cover contract. The Marketing Team Leader will be a key role, working closely with the Director of Marketing and Recruitment to deliver a new marketing and recruitment strategy for the college to increase brand reputation and student recruitment. It is an exciting time to join as this summer we will launch the East London Institute of Technology, one of 12 new national centres focused on high-level skills training in partnership with leading employers. To be considered for this role, you are likely to have: Experience across a range of channels including digital and traditional Experience of leading, managing and motivating a professional team to deliver internal and external professional requirements Excellent project management skills Experience of planning and resourcing promotional campaigns in a professional environment The ability to think and act strategically, whilst ensuring that services are effectively delivered Strong marketing, communication and networking skills, including the ability to communicate well with all stakeholders. Management of staff, so experience of managing staff/teams would be of benefit. Experience of working in the education sector and with young people would be advantageous, but is not essential as we are open-minded to candidates with marketing experience in other industries A positive can-do attitude to get involved
