Job Title:Location Strategy PMO Location: Pune The Location/Data Centre Project/PMO Support Manager position will be reporting into the Location Portfolio Manager within Barclays Plc, Group Technology Infrastructure Services (GTIS). The role is responsible for the governance and monitoring of inception, planning, and delivery phases, supporting the Portfolio Manager in governing/delivering one or more projects and associated management tasks including: Takes responsibility for the governance of Location/Data Centre projects including financial management, governance documentation including production of materials for key Stakeholders. Takes responsibility for definition, documentation and satisfactory completion of small- to medium-scale projects. Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project. Ensures that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and provides regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate. Ensures that quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure. Manages the change control procedure and ensures that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets and are signed off. Ensures that there is a business perspective on how the new technical capabilities will be delivered to the business, including planning around key business cycles, selecting appropriate customers for migration, etc. Initiates the business implementation plan, including all the activities that the business needs to do to prepare for new technical components and technologies. Tracks and reports against these activities to ensure progress. Defines and manages the activities to ensure achievement of the business case after delivery. Outlines key business engagement messages that need to take place throughout the programme/project. Develops and manages one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups. Initiates communications between stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact for defined groups. Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders. Captures and disseminates technical and business information. Facilitates the business change decision-making processes and the planning and implementation of change What will you be doing? The governance and PMO management of GTIS Location specific projects (across UK, Europe and Asia), typically (but not exclusively) involving the management and governance of Navigator project records, financial management acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality. Builds strong relationships Ensuring that day to day operational and management information including issues are addressed in a timely fashion. What we’re looking for: Proven experience of managing and governing large change programmes/ multi-work stream environments from inception through to delivery. Experience of managing financial information including preparing revised annual forecast and tracking actuals using Bank wide systems Ability to deliver in a business that is undergoing a high degree of organisational and strategic change. Broad knowledge in specific area/areas in financial services and policies in order to plan operations and strategies. Proven experience of working in large change programmes / multi-workstream environments Delivery focused; able to manage multi-stream pieces of work and deliver under pressure against challenging deadlines and within a complex technical environment. A team player. Skills that will help you in the role: Excellent attention to detail and willingness to ask difficult questions, Problem-solving experience Strong and broad understanding of the Infrastructure components Experience of delivering large scale transformation programmes in banking or financial organisation. Experienced PMO with a demonstrable track record working on FO driven initiatives with cross functional delivery impact. VP level demonstrable PMO experience Proven track record of defining and embedding controls, processes and structure In-depth Knowledge of Project Office and Project Management function Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Able to work with and present to senior stakeholders including Board Level. Experience of working with Technology to deliver complex projects. Understanding and experience of managing end date driven change. Thorough knowledge of project management methodologies. Ability to execute quickly and effectively – strong influencing skills and ability to get things done in a complex matrix organisational structure. Ability to perform risk assessment of control issues and exercise judgement over escalation. Confidence and gravitas – ability to deal with multiple stakeholders in different clusters, some of a more senior level to the candidate. Proven track record of providing strong leadership and direction. Experience of working across multiple business areas, functions and locations. Relevant years experience of managing direct reports through a matrix structure. A team player. Excellent PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word, MS Project and Visio skills Where will you be working? Pune Barclays recently announced the creation of a new world-class campus at Gera Commerzone located in Kharadi. All Pune based roles will eventually start to move to this new campus starting September 2019. In the run up to that, during the course of 2018, there may be transitory movements of some roles to other temporary sites.
