Banner Bank Intern Opportunity Overview - Summer 2020 As an Intern with Banner Bank you will work in our Commercial Banking Division. In this role you will work with experienced Relationship Managers assisting with commercial loan activity and the underwriting and funding of loans. You’ll have the opportunity to attend client meetings to observe relationship development and management techniques. You’ll also learn credit analysis and credit approval packages for moderately complex commercial loans. As an Intern with Banner Bank you will have the opportunity to: Learn about careers within Community Banking Assist with investigating credit and financial information on prospective and existing customers. Perform site visits of existing and potential projects as necessary Manage financial files to assure accurate reports, statements, and accounts receivable information Analyze financial statements of new, renewed, and existing loans Travel: as required Qualifications Education & Certifications Enrolled in accredited Baccalaureate program pursuing a degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related program required Beginning senior year of program in Fall of 2020 preferred Experience Experience working in a professional services environment preferred Preferred Skills Possess strong interpersonal skills, including networking, presentation ability, negotiation skills, collaboration and active listening. Enjoy competitive, team-oriented environment Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills Committed to continuous learning and openness to mentorship by experienced professional Disciplined and entrepreneurial work style. Strong initiative and self-motivated Ability to learn how to analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flows.
