Marketing Coordinator The Marketing Coordinator assists Marketing in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of marketing plans at Banff Centre. The objective of this position is to increase Banff Centre’s overall brand awareness, and support sales targets across departments at Banff Centre. Specific Accountabilities Reporting to the Director, Brand, Advertising and Sponsorship, below are some key responsibilities: Provide leadership in positioning and branding Banff Centre consistently in line with the brand guidelines. This includes communicating and implementing the positioning phrase, key messages and visual identity adopted by the organization. Work with the Marketing team members in the implementation of marketing plans. This includes research, working with graphic designers on advertisement creation and web specialists for program microsites. Distribution of promotional materials and publications such as brochures, posters, newsletters etc. Assists in the research and development of relevant contact databases for the successful implementation of marketing plans. This also involves ongoing list management and preparation of lists in support of marketing strategies. Assists the marketing team in the preparation and evaluation of marketing plans This involves assisting in research and analysis, identifying audiences and strategies/mediums for reaching prospective and current target groups and time lines for completion of work, and evaluating marketing activities. Keeps him/herself informed through attendance of programs, conferences, performances, gallery exhibitions, readings, lectures, rehearsals, films, etc Qualification and Educational Requirements Undergraduate degree or diploma in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field. 1 - 3 years of related marketing experience. Proven writing and editing skills. Experience working with an arts or post-secondary institution is considered an asset. Proven computer skills with an extensive knowledge of MS Office, familiarity with Internet, and web-based communication. Strong attention to detail and time management skills to manage multiple projects with concern for accuracy. A fundamental knowledge and understanding of marketing and communications practices. Exceptional customer service with a client focus to clearly understand needs of programs, services, and administrative areas. High level of reliability and motivation. A self-manager with the ability to work under broad direction without close supervision. Adaptable to changing priorities and tasks. A team player with excellent interpersonal communication. Analytical skills that enable good problem solving. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset. Employment Terms & Benefits In accordance with CUPE 4318, this is a unionized, hourly support staff position, subject to a 500 hour probation period This position pays between $17.97 and $19.32 per hour, depending on experience, working up to 40 hours per week.
