RESPONSIBLE TO: Restaurant Manager; Bar Manager; Food & Beverage Manager; PURPOSE: To do all possible to develop & maintain the experience of the guest at Ballynahinch Castle Hotel while upholding the ethics and principals by which the hotel is run. Supporting the Restaurant Manager in serving and assisting guests and ensuring that the highest possible standards are maintained at all times. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Ensure that scheduled rosters are followed accordingly and arrive on time for duty. Availability to work a flexible roster including evening and weekend work. Ensure that grooming standards are adhered to as per the hotel's grooming policy. Undertake general waiting and service duties of food and beverages. Prepare set ups for tables and/or rooms as directed by the Restaurant Manager. Communicate and liaise with team members, kitchen and other areas of operation to ensure any tasks have been completed as agreed. Ensure that guests receive immediate recognition in a courteous and professional manner at all times. Ensure that guests are always offered assistance or service even outside of departmental duties. Manage all guest requests in a timely and efficient manner. Support the Restaurant manager in providing the highest possible standards at all times. Ensure that colleagues are supported at all times and that any new team members are given full support during their inductions and thereafter. To attend trainings sessions and to follow all standards of procedures (SOP) as set out by the Restaurant Manager and Food & Beverage Manager Follow cash handling procedures as per company standard. To occasionally assist and support the bar during busy periods. HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSBILITIES Report all accidents and hazards to management in an efficient manner. To comply with all fire, health and safety regulations and attend necessary trainings for the safety and security of your colleagues and guests. Maintain full responsibility for the hygiene and cleanliness of all food & beverage service areas in accordance with government legislation and company policy. To read, understand and carry out all responsibilities as defined in the Health & Safety statement. OTHER DUTIES To carry out any other duty/routine outside normal daily or weekly routine but within the overall scope of your position. STATUTORY DUTIES To comply with company regulations regarding: a) Fire. b) Health and Safety c) Hygiene e) Customer Care f) Security g) Allergens & Dietary information g) Alcohol Liquor Acts
