About the Role An important role, the T31 ILS Plans Engineer has the responsibility for supporting development and delivery of T31 plans, policies and detailed ILS schedule. This includes monitoring and reporting progress against the schedule and supporting delivery of other associated T31 related contractual deliverables. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Support the management, development and release of all ILS related plans Develop and maintain the specific Risk Register and MDAL content Provide input as required to broader supportability deliverables as defined in the T31 Design and Build contract; as directed by the ILS Policy and Plans Lead, Platform ILS lead or T31 Head of Supportability. Develop and maintain the T31e ILS Risk Register and MDAL. Support the Supportability Analysis Team in the development of SA Plans. Develop and manage the detailed ILS plans delivery leading to Supportability and Design Reviews. Support the development of key milestone maturity matrices. Contribute to the delivery of broader supportability deliverables as defined in the T31 Design and Build contract and as directed by the ILS Policy and Plans Lead, Platform ILS lead or T31 Head of Supportability. What do I need to do the role? Qualifications Degree or HNC qualified in an engineering discipline (mechanical, marine, electrics/electronics or systems) or relevant experience at the discretion of the Warships Engineering Director / T31 Head of Supportability. Incorporated Engineer or working towards Incorporated status. Required Experience and Competences Essential: Project management experience. Ability to work in a complex, multi-discipline team. Strong written communication skills; the delivery of well structured, unambiguous documentation and reports. Strong verbal communication skills Desirable: Previous experience of ship design and build projects. Sound understanding of ship systems and equipment. Risk management experience. Working understanding of appropriate ILS Defence Standards 00-600 and ASD S-Series of ILS specifications. Understanding of MoD Knowledge in Defence and JSP 886 (Defence Logistic Framework). Grade This position is within the Engineering Services business unit as a grade 5 which has a salary of £36,525 with DRDL Terms and Conditions.
