An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast-growing team as a Heritage Consultant based in our Leeds office. Sitting within the Environmental Planning team in Leeds, the successful applicant would be expected to lead or contribute to a wide range of Heritage projects across multiple sectors, ranging from infrastructure to residential. The role provides the flexibility to enable you to grow and develop in line with your passion, be it contractor management or Environmental Impact Assessment. You will be supported and mentored, but also afforded the autonomy to progress your projects, consult with all relevant parties, devise and agree strategies and manage the project financials. Our work is varied and widespread supporting our clients on projects both locally and throughout the UK as required. About the team The Environmental Planning team are at the forefront of BWB’s planning services with involvement at all stages in the planning cycle from feasibility through to master planning and the discharge of conditions. The Environmental Planning team take the lead with BWB’s planning services to deliver a wide range of projects across a broad spectrum of market sectors. About you The successful candidates will be commercially focused, enthusiastic, confident, self-motivated and willing to take the initiative, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will have experience of managing heritage projects, designing strategies and managing contractors on both urban and rural sites. You will also be a member of the CIFA at either ACIFA status or above. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate good experience and working knowledge of the following areas of work: Degree qualified in a heritage related subject Excellent verbal, written and communication skills with the ability to check, challenge and correct technical reports. Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget with a strong focus on client care in project management and delivery. Experience in the production of a wide variety of heritage reports, including Desk-Based Assessments, Appraisals, Specifications, Written Schemes of Investigation, drafting chapters for Environmental Statements. You will have a good level of experience in UK Field Archaeology You will have a good knowledge of UK Archaeology you will have some knowledge of the built environment Experience and proficiency in using GIS and Autocad packages would be advantageous.
