Personal Accountability Responsible to ensure that BW Offshores corporate goals of “Zero Incident” in terms of HSE and “Zero Defect” in terms of QA/QC are achieved by the Project and to ensure all risks are identified, prioritised and mitigated; Responsible for implementing HSEQ requirements through the OI programs in all phases of Projects; Responsible for the performance of all HSEQ and Risk Management activities associated with the Project; Responsible for providing HSEQ support to the Vendor selection process; Responsible for providing support and advice to Projects regarding HSEQ issues; Responsible to monitor that the projects activities comply with applicable rules, regulations, company policies and requirements; Responsible to plan, execute and follow up project verifications and audits; Responsible to coordinate experience transfer (lessons learned) and other learning processes with special focus on quality within project execution processes. Key Tasks Performs HSEQ Assurance activities as per the Project Assurance Plan; Establish, maintain and communicate HSEQ procedures, best practices and tools and drive a culture of HSEQ awareness and continuous improvement; Ensure HSE compliance for Project Engineering, Procurement, and Construction sites and activities; Ensure and control Quality (QA & QC) for all the Project engineering, procurement and construction activities; Ensure optimal risk management within the Project; Participate in pre-qualifications/tenders (related to project); Participate in Vendor HSEQ evaluation and site verification audits; Provide support to Supply Chain in procurement process including requirements, bid evaluation and supplier follow-up; Ensures review of Supplier ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans) and determining project inspection activities towards Suppliers; Ensures establishment of Project Quality Surveillance Plan based on agreed ITPs; Identifies and handles unacceptable conditions, discrepancies, non-conformities and opportunities for improvements to ensure that lessons learned are properly identified, controlled and communicated. Ensure all HSEQ incidents are investigated and personally participate in any major or high potential HSE incidents. Education Master’s degree in Engineering or other HSEQ related major; Bachelor’s degree or long relevant experience may replace formal education. Experience Ideally 15 years of relevant experience within the shipping and offshore industry; Previous experience from large offshore or land based projects involving multiple disciplines; Ideally 5 years of experience within the FPSO industry and new build or conversion projects; Previous experience with management/quality systems; Experience in procedures & documentation development and review; Ideally 5 years previous experience as Auditor; Managerial experience. Interpersonal Skills Team player with the ability to lead; Proactive and able to work independently, applying a structured and systematic approach; Ability to deliver in a high pressure, fast pace project environment; Ability to deliver high quality work on time; Ability to work in a multidisciplinary / multinational environment; Excellent managerial skills; Ability to think strategically. Knowledge Advanced management of Occupational Health and Safety matters on major industrial and/or construction projects; Advanced understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions, techniques and tools for major engineering and construction projects; Auditing & inspection techniques; Good knowledge of quality control and assurance process; In depth knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OSHAS 18001, departmental function, terminology and interrelationships. In depth knowledge of the relevant requirements of the classification societies and international rules and regulations. Fluent in English (oral and written) Other The position may require temporary assignments at project premises or on-board units The position may require heavy travel and long working hours in peak periods
