The Service Engineer is responsible for the activities of field customer service He/She is in charge to manage maintenance contract, qualification, repair and remote support of customer of the assigned area (Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia e Trentino Alto Adige) Service Engineer must report regularly the situation of the customer to support sales engineers and product managers. He/She is even responsible of improving the company image ensuring customer support is aligned with customer’s expectations. Service Engineer is in touch with head quarter to get support in case of need and give hints about possible improvement of the instruments. Service Engineer is responsible to collect market information to be shared with Product Managers and Sales engineer helping to set up strategies and action plans. The Service Engineer works very closely together with Product Managers, Sales Engineer, Order Processing and Quotation. The manifold type of interfaces requires a high degree of skills in communication and organization. Position This position reports to the Service coordinator This position has no direct reports This position’s back up are the others Service Engineers from different areas This position backs up the others Service Engineers in different areas This position is based in the area of responsibility (preferably Padova or Bologna) Main Tasks Organize customer visits to respect maintenance contract and technical service calls serving customers in a professional and profitable way. Get new sales leads, passing them to sales engineers and product managers Regular reporting of field activity using company’s CRM Set up a monthly planning and communicate it to customer support Other Tasks Keep Service areas clean and in order Collect and give information about competition activity Regularly communicate with Sales Engineers and Product Managers Update requested reports Record spare parts pick up and release Support for feasibility studies Respect safety rules Responsibility Responsibility for execution of maintenance contract and service call Service Responsibility for budget of the Customer Service Responsibility for own costs Responsibility of Buchi tools and rented car Authorization Level Decide customer service planning in accordance with customer support Organize and book travels Involve external partners Required Skills Problem solving attitude Good in both written and oral English Experience with team work Knowledge of chemistry and physics, needed to operate our instruments portfolio MS Office or similar software knowledge Positive attitude Willingness to travel Preferable Previous experience with a competitor company or with a laboratory instruments supplier.
