Buk are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working person to assist and support the finance department. Buk are based just outside Risby so being able to drive is essential due to the location. Desired skills & qualities Positive and logical approach, good organisational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills The ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications Previous experience of purchase ledger desirable Job description The role will include assistance with the day to day accounting functions of Buk Ltd to include purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, expenses and monthly reconciliations. The functions would include the following: To take responsibility for running our purchase ledger through to supplier payment each month. Deal with queries as appropriate Communicating with suppliers regarding expected payments Check supplier statements to purchase ledger and chase any missing invoices Process staff expenses and credit card details, check, approve and post Prepare month end reports ready for period closure In addition, training will be given to cover other roles in our accounts / administration departments to allow effective cover during periods of absence Experience is preferred but, as important, is a positive, forward thinking outlook with organisational skills, responsibility and the ability to work under pressure at times. Other Any other duties which might reasonably be requested in association with this role in order to meet the needs of the business.
