Our Cost Management team has an immediate need for a Cost Consultant based out of our office in Vancouver. You will engage with major Engineers, Architects and Developers in Vancouver and Canada-wide. Our exciting portfolio of projects span across various sectors including Residential, Commercial, Healthcare, Education and many more. As a Cost Consultant, you will play an integral role in the continued growth of our Cost Management Team within the Vancouver market and across Canada. Why BTY? Responsibilities: Assist in producing mechanical, electrical and civil cost estimate; Read, measure and price mechanical and electrical work based on CIQS requirement; Understands unit rates, general conditions and pricing estimates; Assist in measurement for change orders; Knowledgeable in and understands requirements for plumbing and drainage, fire protection, HVAC and Control; Basic understanding of electrical requirements for services and distribution, lighting devices and heating, and Systems and Ancillaries; Have knowledge of current market mechanical and electrical pricing; Assisting with continuous business development activities; Supporting with the preparation of proposals; Skills and Expertise: 2-4+ years of relevant industry experience; University degree or equivalent; Architectural Building Technology (ABT), Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) Working towards achieving PQS/CEC/MRICS membership or willing to obtain considered an asset; Proven strategic thinker with excellent communication skills Basic BIM, Planswift/Cost X measurement; Basic Microsoft excel and words Passion for business development and managing client relationships.
