Brasenose College, University of Oxford Human Resources Business Partner Full-time, permanent contract – 35 hours per week, with some flexibility over scheduled hours of work. One unpaid hour for lunch. College salary scale, Grade 7 - £32,817 - £40,322 pa according to experience Brasenose College has an exciting post for an HR Business Partner looking to develop in a wide-ranging and fast-paced role. This new post offers variety and accountability, and will suit an HR professional keen to take responsibility for managing a number of discrete projects with a high degree of autonomy, whilst also providing generalist support for around 30 staff across a number of different departments. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role also liaises closely with managers, staff and the HR team to support the overview and delivery of the College’s training and development requirements. There is some responsibility for developing internal HR-related communications within College, so excellent writing skills are essential. The post has no direct line- manager responsibilities, but will deputise for the HR Manager on occasion. The role requires previous generalist HR experience including good working knowledge of employment law, complex case management and application of best practice. In return the College provides an opportunity to become integrated in, and contribute to, the vibrant College community comprising students, academics, domestic staff and visitors. We need someone with initiative, interested in new developments in HR, who can prioritise effectively and who would enjoy building good relationships with managers and staff and working to the high standards of an academic environment. Excellent influencing skills and the ability to deal tactfully and to communicate well in writing and verbally are essential. Accuracy, good analytical skills and judgment are also essential, with the vision and drive to help managers deliver new initiatives as part of the process of on-going improvement.
