Roles & Responsibilities JOB DESCRIPTION The Procurement Manager is responsible in negotiating the lowest cost price for market relevant products from the most appropriate suppliers, reducing complaint levels, improving availability, helping to source for creative packaging and improve profitability. The duties of the Procurement Manager is as follows: Responsible in setting weekly purchasing agendas with suppliers. Price negotiations with suppliers to ensure prices to our customers remain competitive. Ensuring sufficient stocks are held to prevent shortages or avoid any foreseeable supply disruptions. Ensure produce standards are upheld and consistent QC upon receipt of goods: husbandry ethics and provenance of goods. Securing of relevant import licenses or permits for new products, or export permits. Feasibility studies on streamlining of supply chain (importing direct from farms) and execution. JOB REQUIREMENTS At least 5 years experience in procurement, vendor management, import/export business preferred. Experience purchasing meat would be a strong preference Proven track record of managing a significant cost of goods with strong motivation to deliver cost savings Experience of working with external customers MS office - min of intermediate excel, word and powerpoint Flexibility to travel Awareness of FMCG purchasing processes Confidence and experience in presenting to large audiences Strong communication skills – verbal and written
