Position: Intermediate Naval Architectural and Ocean Engineer (Level 3) Employer: BMT Canada Ltd. Location: Victoria, British Columbia Terms of Employment: Permanent / Full Time Hours of Work: 38.75 hours/week Language: English Benefits: Eligible for discretionary bonuses and increases in salary. Salary: $80,000.00 to $100,000 Duties Provide Naval Architectural and Ocean Engineering advice and support to internal and external customers; Provide technical guidance to less senior naval architects; Undertake fundamental technical naval architectural analysis specializing in submarine applications. These analyses including hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, structures, and arrangements; Provide technical leadership on projects requiring submarine naval architecture specific knowledge; Undertake engineering activities in a way that contributes to best practice and complies with the relevant codes; and Design and develop marine vessels and floating structures and associated marine power plants, propulsion systems and related systems and equipment and oversee the building, maintenance and repair of vessels and marine systems.
