Job Summary BITS, a 27 year old Language Services company that offers Translation services along with Localisation and customised language technology solutions, is looking to hire passionate and solution-driven professionals to join our French team. You can read more about what we do on www.bitsindia.co.in You will be a part of our team based at our head office in Pune, working closely with the Project Manager on French-English translation projects. The ideal candidate should have multiple related skill-sets, be accustomed to working on tight deadlines, and be extremely proactive and responsible when it comes to delivering translations of good quality. Responsibilities and Duties The position of a French-English translator primarily potentially involves translating, editing or reviewing content, from French into English, in addition to making sure the final document is well formatted. On-the-job training will be provided for formatting, research techniques, CAT tools as well as the opportunity to pick up other skills like subtitling, transcription, etc. Candidate is expected to always be willing to learn and be hands-on. Selected candidates can expect their per month net take-home income to be anywhere between 60,000 to 1,20,000 INR per month depending on their performance in our entrance test. Key Skills Excellent command over French and English, Excellent writing skills in English, Computer and tech-savvy, Must be well-read and/or generally aware of terms and concepts from domains such as law, finance, medicine, pharmacy, IT technical, marketing or engineering Required Experience and Qualifications Translation experience of 2-5 years Candidate should be able to speak, read and write / type their mother tongue Knowledge of additional Indian languages is a bonus Candidate must have a B2 (or above) from the Alliance Française or a Bachelors / Master’s degree from a recognised University Legal, financial, medical, pharma, technical, marketing or engineering background would be an added advantage Job Type: Full-time Salary: ₹60,000.00 to ₹120,000.00 /month Experience: total work: 2 years (Preferred) Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Industry: Uncategorized
