Assistant Management Accountant Wokingham Baxi Heating is leading the market in smart low carbon heating and hot water solutions for both domestic and commercial markets. We represent 10 of the UK and Ireland’s best known and well-respected brands. The role is based at Wokingham which is the commercial division of Baxi Heating UK Ltd. The role: Reporting to the management accountant the role involves completing daily bank reconciliations and posting, weekly forecasting and weekly Material Price analysis & reporting. Other key tasks as an Assistant Management Accountant includes: Overhead variance analysis and report on large variances GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) maintenance, checking, reconciling and reporting Prepayments and accruals Balance sheet reconciliations Supplier set up Induction for sales exec’s new starters on credit card and expense processing Management of new credit card applications Credit card statement downloads, preparation of journals and monthly accruals Private Mileage deductions Contract Support preparation, checking claimed values, updating lotus notes Management of Joint Incentive Fund (JIF) National Statistics submissions Knowledge, skills and experience required: Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial for this role You will have the ability to organise and manage workload according to priorities Continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to challenge the status quo Strong excel and analytical skills Confident in challenging colleagues if necessary, with tact Strong working knowledge of Accounting principles (Double entry, accruals and prepayments)and AP processes Strong writing, communication and customer service skills Organised with demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple activities in a fast paced and changing environment Self- starter and strong team player Previous experience in a similar role Good Excel skills Quick learner A competitive basic salary, alongside contributory Pension scheme, 25 Days holiday, Retailers perks scheme, UNUM, wellbeing support, discount on all our product ranges and more, not to mention fantastic training and technical support, plus over 150 years of Baxi experience.
