2 X Part time (predominantly) Night Shift Security Officer (24 hours a week minimum) to be part of the Security Department in our Distribution Centre in Middlewich £8.80 an hour Person Specification * Excellent communication skills * Previous experience in a similar role * Organised, accurate and a keen eye for detail * Provide solutions to problems * Always polite and professional in manner and appearance. * Be well presented with a high level of personal hygiene * Always punctual. * Ability to work under pressure, The Responsibilities * Maintain the integrity of the site, monitoring security and safety * Control the access and egress of the site:- visitor, personnel and vehicle * Being security and profit protection focused, protecting the business * Ensuring company and department rules, regulations and procedures are carried out to the highest standard * Report security and safety concerns to line manager in official reports * Work to KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) set out by your line manager * Understand and comply with GDPR data protection laws * Write reports, logs and other official documents ensuring the accurate recording of data * Patrols both internal and external * Monitor CCTV cameras * Carry out any CCTV requests, search for footage and burn footage to disc. * Conduct auditing of pallets and trailers when required * Action the reasonable request of management Requirement * ESSENTIAL- Able to work **Predominantly Nights** 12 hour shifts this will include some weekend work * ESSENTIAL - Access to your own transport is essential due to our location and shift times * Computer literate with a good understanding of Windows packages such as Word, Excel, Outlook. * Clear communication and excellent customer service skills. * Knowledge of the Security Industry is preferred but training will be given * SIA licence is preferred but not essential as this is an in house role. You will be part of a 24 hour a day, 365 days a year operation. It is expected for officers to cover holiday, sickness and vacancy, you may be requested to cover shifts at other DC’s in the surrounding area; this travel is compensated.
