Job Summary Merchandisers optimize sales and profits by ensuring that retail stores are stocked with the right products in the right quantities. This may include stocking shelves, arranging and maintaining product displays, pricing products, and monitoring the store inventory. Responsibilities and Duties Responsible for merchandise planning and procurement for women’s apparel category. Ensuring merchandise selection as per the brand requirements. Merchandise selection to improve sell-through rates. Maintain good rapport and relationship with designers. Introduce new and retain existing designers. Effectively execute merchandise operations to ensure timely delivery of orders, return of the merchandise to the designers, shoot schedules etc. Preparing and presenting periodic merchandising reports. Smooth coordination with other functions for meeting work deliverables. Qualifications and Skills Minimum 8 years of total experience with retail fashion. Must have studied Fashion from a reputed institute – Graduate / Post Graduate (NIFT preferred). Must have good understanding of the luxury designer category. Must have working knowledge of Systems (MS Office - especially excel). Adaptable, Analytical and Team player. Good interpersonal and relationship management skills.
