AustralianSuper is Australia's largest pension fund with more than AU$180B (£95B) of funds under management, and we're growing quickly. Key to our continued success has been our global investment strategy, which has seen us expand our internalised investment team into new geographies, while continuing to develop our portfolio into new asset classes and markets. Here’s where you come in: To support the growth of AustralianSuper, we are seeking a Senior Investment Analyst within the Mid Risk Group (i.e. Infrastructure Equity, Property Equity & Credit) who will be responsible for accurately identifying and analysing key investment issues, making recommendations to senior stakeholders and developing junior staff. The role represents an outstanding opportunity to assist the team with identifying relevant investment opportunities that complement the existing portfolio. The RAAD Portfolio Strategy targets large loans in real asset classes of Infrastructure and Property which are typically unlisted, sub-investment grade in nature and therefore higher yielding. In this role, your responsibilities will include: Assisting in the effective execution of the RAAD Portfolio Strategy within the broader Mid Risk portfolio. Assisting in the execution of new direct credit investment opportunities that meet the RAAD Portfolio Strategy together with ongoing loan investment management. Conduct ongoing periodic reviews and reporting on the performance of individual loans and investment research into new sectors. More broadly providing support across the broader Mid Risk portfolio. You’ll need: Significant experience in fundamental credit assessment in a banking, finance or credit funds management role. Meaningful exposure within either infrastructure, project finance and/or property lending. Experience of having completed credit transaction executions across large and complex opportunities. The ability to conduct independent research to support due diligence. Significant experience with undertaking analysis of information and drawing conclusions. Strong quantitative financial modelling skills. An expectation of working for a growing, global firm which will involve some travel to the offices in Melbourne (headquarters) and New York. In addition, you will hold a superior tertiary qualification and ideally be CFA qualified. This has been identified as a Certified role under the SM&CR regulations. What’s next: We are committed to the recruitment, development and support of a diverse workforce into an environment which is inclusive, embraces diversity in all its forms and is a place where you can be you. At AustralianSuper we consider flexible ways of working for everyone and every role, we’re happy to discuss what this can look like for you.
