Position Objective Overall responsible for the day-to-day security related operations such as manpower, system and processes. Ensuring security surveillance and process is the best in class within the region. Responsible to oversee effective facilities management of Brighton College (main campus only) to ensure smooth running of daily school operation. Key liaison between Parents, Facility, Educational leaders, Admin department and etc. Management of school layout plan This role is school focused. This role is a supervisor position and there are 4 direct and 6 indirect reporting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Security Management, Main Campus Management of staff and student pass printing and processes. Direct and coordinate the activities of all security personnel. Ensure that all security staff provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention. Ensure the compliance to safety and security of students, staff, visitors and contractors at all time. Liaise with all department heads to ensure staff is adhering to established security procedures. Collaborate closely with Singapore Police and other Agencies for TTX, GEX and etc. Manage of Security Manual and ensuring prompt updating of processes and procedure. Oversees the LOST and FOUND process in accordance to the company policy. Monitor Security activity and coach officer performance and conduct spot checks. Follows up on all unusual activities in and around the property that would impair the well-being of staff and students. Ensure compliance with all security standards to its highest level and preventative measures. Monitor and follows proper key control guidelines in loss prevention and in the property. Conduct investigations and compile reports on a timely manner for any theft, loss, accidents or any aspect that risk the safety of the school. Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others. Develops and maintains a monthly checklist for all security related system such as CCTV equipment, bollard system, barriers, alarmed doors, and panic / duress alarms to ensure that they are fully functional. Conduct regular fire evacuation drill in collaboration with School Facilities Manager. Develop and advise key personnel of emergency procedures. Establish security crisis management and contingency planning. Supervision of all Security Personnel and giving clear direction on all security related aspects. Coordinate with external police authorities in the investigation and handling of crimes, accidents, Government Ministers moments etc., Perform all tasks consistently in line with the Singapore and international school standards and adhere to all legal and statutory requirements. Interview, review security officers on probation on capability to deploy as permanent officer with the school. Monthly Security Dashboard report. Be available 24 hours a day for genuine emergencies within the property. Any other duties as reasonably assigned by Supervisor. Facilities Lead, Brighton College Single point of contact Report and make recommendations to Senior Management regarding project and management strategies as it relates to business facilities and security processes Ensure implementation of effective facility and security management policies across the business; act as first point of contact regarding the same Review and manage all operational management systems including preventive and corrective maintenance, term contract works, unscheduled maintenance Provide guidance to Engineer and Supervisor to ensure deliverables. Collaborate with staff to develop an on-going programme to ensure employee awareness and compliance to Company Health & Safety, and Environment and Security policies Prepare and maintain building capacity data, continually plan ahead for changes in business needs Plan and manage office upgrade works, ensuring that work is progressing as planned, cost is kept within budgets and work quality is of expected standard Negotiate with service providers and contractors to effect cost reductions Maintain and continually ensure compliance and safety within the school. Any other duties as reasonably assigned by Supervisor Project Management, Brighton College Brighton-dedicated project excluding main campus infrastructure Prepare RFQ or tender, evaluate technical clarifications, recommend for award, coordination, execution and hand-over to maintenance team. Establish procedure for project management e.g. SHMS, RFI, CCF, Liaise closely with stakeholders on requirement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Degree level, preferably in Engineering or Diploma with 10 years of experience. At least 10 years relevant experience, preferably in school environment or high technology industry IT knowledge is preferred and will be an added advantage. Strong adaptability with critical thinking and problem solving skills Meticulous in planning and organizing Strong rationalization and able to make rational decision-making An influencer and able to lead Proven ability to work toward stringent deadlines with high stress tolerance Ability to communicate business decisions and changes to working practices clearly Ability to demonstrate a professional and objective perspective at all times Excellent negotiation skills Finely tuned political awareness and excellent communications and interpersonal skills Confident in presentation skills, both internally and client-facing Ability to build fast and credible relationships with Senior Management and clients; ability to challenge and influence when necessary A 'can-do' attitude and resilient character with the ability to manage expectations Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Strong customer service skill and conflict management skill. Strong People Management skill.
