At our office in Berlin Mitte, we are currently looking for a Finance & Controlling Manager (m/f/x) to join our core team! Therefore, every day will hold a new challenge for you You will work directly with our accomplished CFO, who will give you great first-hand insights on how a Venture Capital fund operates You will support our CFO in preparing and continuously improving our investor reporting, and together you will shape and further develop our portfolio-controlling function You will manage our portfolio reporting, prepare KPI analyses for the investment team and take over responsibility for the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of month-end reporting You will participate in the preparation and execution of new investments and later stage funding rounds of portfolio companies You will collaborate closely with our external accountants, tax advisors and service providers and manage the preparation and revision of the financial statements of various companies of the Atlantic Labs Group You will be responsible for preparatory accounting, payment transactions, legal housekeeping and keeping our portfolio database up-to-date In addition to your everyday finance responsibilities, you will take over special projects in different topics and help to continuously improve reporting frameworks and processes With your ideas and strength of implementation, you actively drive the development and further professionalisation of our finance department to the next level Through our extensive portfolio you will have the opportunity to grow a unique network within the German VC and startup scene What we are looking for: You have successfully completed your studies in Business Administration, preferably with a focus on Finance, Accounting & Taxation Ideally, you have proven yourself in a demanding, fast-paced environment such as the Big4 or another consultancy and have at least 2 years of relevant work experience Specific knowledge in Venture Capital, Private Equity or related fields would be beneficial You are passionate about delivering high quality projects in complex environments and have superb Excel and PowerPoint skills Your work style is independent, structured and accurate which helps you to always stay on top of the game With your builder’s mindset you are efficient, reliable, and adaptable to change when stressful deadlines such as our quarterly reportings close in on you You have a strong work ethic and your great analytical skills are paired with a healthy degree of hands-on mentality You are proficient in both German and English You are curious by nature with great communication skills and you thrive in a demanding, yet informal startup environment with rapidly growing businesses surrounding you No matter the field, you have proven yourself in the past and can clearly show why you will be successful in the future
