Here at AIS, an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Design team for an Artworker to join the team based in Shirley, Solihull on a full time, permanent basis. AIS is the largest independent, non-food buying group of its kind in the UK with a combined membership turnover of c£2bn. The group has a membership of 360 independent department store and specialist retailers operating 900 outlets across the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands. AIS enables independent retailers to profit from the level of buying power and services normally enjoyed by big high street chains – yet with no loss of their independence. The Artworker role: Working under the direction of more senior design team members you will support buying shows and other marketing and departmental requirements, creating high quality artwork for a variety of communications material to include: POS, show graphics and marketing campaigns for both print and digital. The AIS design team support multiple product departments and own brand product ranges, as well as numerous trade shows held in their own conference and exhibition centre, so working for AIS presents a unique opportunity to work with multiple product areas and many different kinds of independent retailers. Key responsibilities of our Artworker: Creating artwork for a variety of communications material to include: POS, show graphics and marketing campaigns for both print and digital. Working with Marketing Administrative team to produce show graphics and other collateral required. Working with the Lead Creative and Designers to design material for retailers, which may include printed sale brochures & leaflets, instore graphics and POS campaigns. What we’re looking for in our Artworker: Experience in a similar role and previous experience within a creative environment Experience of artwork creation and manipulation to a high standard Ability to produce print ready artwork and digital assets Good working experience of Mac based packages including Adobe InDesign, Quarkxpress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft office are essential A graphic design qualification is desirable A keen eye and high level of accuracy, as attention to detail is essential Proactive, positive and self-motivated. Excellent time management skills and able to prioritise workload. A flexible and supportive team player Able to work effectively during busy periods and meet tight deadlines Strong organisational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at once. Proactive with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
