Arvinas is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing new small molecules ‒ known as PROTAC® (PROteolysis Targeting Chimera) protein degraders ‒ aimed at degrading disease-causing cellular proteins via proteolysis. Position Summary Arvinas is seeking a highly organized, energetic, and proactive individual to support the operations of our laboratories and the innovative work happening on our oncology, immuno-oncology, neuroscience, and external collaboration programs! This position reports to a Research Scientist in our Biology organization and will be located at our headquarters in New Haven, CT. Principal Responsibilities Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: General Laboratory Maintenance Cleaning water baths Defrosting freezers Making buffers Refilling carboys Stocking consumables (flasks, pipette tips, tubes, etc.) Washing glassware Packaging biohazard waste Emptying vacuum flasks Monitoring equipment Laboratory Stock Room Management Organizing laboratory stock room Taking inventory and ordering items that are low Stocking ordered items Biology Lab Activities Tissue culture, e.g. passaging and harvesting cells Western blots ELISA Cell Line Management Retrieving and banking cell lines Documenting in Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Position may also include some work in Shipping and Receiving of Laboratory Materials, including: Shipping for all company departments (backup) Receiving deliveries Processing delivered packages Checking deliveries into accounting software Delivering packages to recipient Packaging and labeling box for shipping items FedEx liaison Qualifications Familiarity with biology lab activities, equipment, consumables, and tissue culture is required. Demonstrated proficiency with Windows Operating System, MicroSoft Office Suite, and the ability to quickly come up to speed on additional relevant software is required. Experience with Great Plains accounting software preferred. Education Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in a scientific discipline is strongly preferred.
