As a Warehouse Supervisor, you are responsible for managing the warehouse operation. In addition to that we expect you to actively take initiative for optimizing the logistics processes and lead, coach and motivate your team to the best result while taking into account the established quality standards and logistical (customer) planning. You report directly to the warehouse manager and you lead 2 assistant-supervisors and 20-30 warehouse employees. Tasks and responsibilities for a Warehouse Supervisor at Arvato Bertelsmann will include the following; Monitoring, managing, coaching and assessing a team of warehouse employees; In alignment with the site manager and the planner you are responsible for the daily operation, management and composition of the department; You monitor processes, quality, quantity and continuity of service and you have responsibility in fulfilling the high quality requirements of our client; You maintain contact with external parties; You provide a motivated group of employees and you support them in achieving their goals; You are responsible for the timely identification for improvements in regard to new working methods and any possible bottlenecks; and also contributes to this; You are responsible for making and carrying out the planning of team. You are responsible for adequate and accurate administration; You supervise the correct use of (heavy)equipment and you signal escalations at the technical department; You ensure compliance with various internal and external regulations and legal provisions. Hard skills we require to be successful as a Warehouse Supervisor at Arvato Bertelsmann: You graduated your education successfully on at least MBO / HBO level (for example in Logistics & Economy or Supply Chain Management); You have recent experience in a leadership role within logistics and / or SCM; You like taking initiative and you get energy from taking on different challenges and projects; You have a strong sense of responsibility and you are a natural leader; You have analytical skills and you are problem-solving; In addition, you recognize yourself in the following key words: initiative, pragmatic, consistent, helicopter view, accurate and leadership; You pay attention to safety, order and tidiness in the workplace; You have knowledge of warehouse management systems and preferably experience with SAP; Knowledge of micro office applications is a requirement; You master the Dutch and English language in speech and writing.
