We’re looking for an IT Support Specialist to provide an exemplary level of technical support, as the company’s first point of contact, to both local and remote end users in an efficient and accurate manner. Key responsibilities include prioritizing help desk tickets according to severity, providing timely and effective technical support to end-users, setting up workstations, and onboarding of new employees. This is an entry to a mid-level position in a company that demonstrates explosive growth and provides great opportunities for professional development. Responsibilities and daily tasks include: Prioritize, facilitate, and escalate Service Desk requests within predefined timeframes Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone, email, or in person Respond to customer support requests involving various hardware, software, and operating system problems using the ticketing system Assist with onboarding of new users and setup and configure new accounts Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software Assist with remote tasks and requests in our remote locations Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions Support major projects, software upgrades, and organizational system deployment and changes Assist with office buildout requirements in our growing organization Use helpdesk entries to pinpoint trends and trouble spots in order to create instructions and documents Attend and/or conduct training sessions for end users Perform other related duties as required Always maintain a high degree of professionalism, courteousness, and friendliness Participate in on-call rotation Requirements University degree or diploma in Information Technology or other related field, or 1 plus years relevant experience Excellent communication and time management skills Experience supporting desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and all peripherals including audio/video devices Experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Apple OSx, and Ubuntu Excellent knowledge of Office 365 and G-Suite Passionate, flexible, and motivated to help others is key Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and must be open and adaptable to shifting priorities Must be able to work in various environments and temperatures from offices to warehouse Ability to work independently and understand when to escalate issues Ability to train users Must be able to lift 25 lbs Benefits We want Article to be an amazing place to work and we do our part to take care of our team.
