Job Posting Title Director Transportation – Logistics Summary The Director of Logistics is responsible to oversee and optimize inbound transportation for America’s Supply Chain operations. The Director of Logistics- Transportation will be responsible for creating strategic plan to optimize freight, transportation and work with 3rd party logistics vendors to create agile dynamic supply chain which can be flexible to changing needs of the business What you'll do Provide leadership and analytical guidance towards the achievement of determined objectives by developing and providing strategies as well as action steps, analytics and insights Identify and baseline inbound freight cost from various origin-destination nodes and drive incremental savings using routing, sourcing and consolidation opportunities Work with freight forwarded to identify opportunities to optimize transportation routes from overall Americas supply chain perspective. Monitor and review changing customs regulation and impact on tariffs to drive mitigation strategies in terms of optimizing cost to Aristocrat supply chain Develop short, medium and longer term strategy around freight optimization including hub spoke model and consolidation - deconsolidation points with the supply chain Work with team to streamline commercial invoice processing for LATAM- EMEA regions Identify strategies; Monitoring forecasts vs. budget and identifying and communicating gaps on an ongoing basis Support strategy for company to reduce costs, improve quality and on time delivery of product Present analysis and make clear recommendations on objectives needed to build relationships and facilitates the flow of information both internally and externally while providing decision-making suggestions needed to improve performance outcomes Monitor, guide and/or conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports; managers, supervisors and front-line employees (as needed) to ensure departmental leadership is providing actionable, honest and productive performance feedback and suggestions for improvement, reporting underperformance to HR Motivate, inspire and engage employees in developing their position related skills, knowledge, and abilities through active coaching; Provide ongoing mentorship and development of the team Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Provide technical support to electronic logging & tracking systems utilized by Aristocrat Investigate transportation – related customer complaints and issues that affect finished product delivery. Partner and liaison with other Departmental Directors about what is occurring interdepartmentally to work in concert in the achievement of the company’s tactical and strategic goals Establishes and implements a Continuous Improvement Program which reviews all existing and develops new programs and processes to ensure continued success in customer and manufacturer satisfaction, approaching departmental operations with a production mindset Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team. Assist in defining KPIs for departments and establish systems/processes for measuring them. Carries out Director responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Work Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Business, or closely related field 5-10 years of logistical and/or operational experience Two or more years of leadership or management experience in transportation or related field 3rd Party Logistics experience with freight forwards is plus What we're looking for Why Aristocrat?
