Responsibilities: Physically inspect goods for unacceptable content including TSA requirement, i.e. possible explosives or contraband Physically process packages by scanning, opening, and repackaging shipments Frequently lift and move packages that could weigh 50+ in fast paced warehouse environment Accurately and quickly use computer to enter package data/reports, i.e. size, weight, contents Learn destinations, country, and airport abbreviations Ensure documentation for shipment is accurate Interact with external and internal customers Use warehouse tools such as box cutter and tap gun Maintain training learning and apply them daily Requirements: Computer literate Be collaborative and a team player Ability to stand, lift, bend, and move for majority of the day in warehouse environment Location: Near JFK Airport in Jamaica, NY Job Type: Full-time Job Type: Full-time Salary: $16.00 to $17.00 /hour Experience: Package handler: 1 year (Preferred) Additional Compensation: Commission Work Location: One location Pay Frequency: Weekly This Company Describes Its Culture as: Detail-oriented -- quality and precision-focused People-oriented -- supportive and fairness-focused Team-oriented -- cooperative and collaborative Schedule: Weekends required
