Food Service Workers - - Sunnybrook Hospital Description: Our Aramark team at Sunnybrook Hospital is looking for Food Service Workers to support our locations. We are looking for customer service oriented employees that enjoy working with customers. Location: 2075 Bayview Ave, Toronto, ON M4N 3M5-- TTC bus Accessible. Responsibilities: Clean, peel, slice and trim food using manual and electric appliances Prepare food (i.e., sandwiches, hamburgers, salads) Portion and wrap food or place it directly on plates for service to patrons, and package take-out food Serve customers at counters or buffet tables Cash out customers and fill orders accurately with a high quality of customer service Stock refrigerators and salad bars and keep records of the quantities of food used Maintain continual cleaning and sanitizing of immediate and surrounding work areas (e.g., wash work tables, cupboards and appliances, clean and sanitize dishes, pots and pans, and all other cleaning duties as assigned) Replenish condiments and other supplies in serving areas Perform material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking Ensure garbage bins are emptied and orders are put away Assist in ordering, and taking inventory May assist with cooking duties Provide efficient service while maintaining excellent customer service as per Aramark and Franchise standards Ensure completion of cleaning duties, temperature and cleaning logs Follow directions of the Lead Hand and/or Supervisor Adhere to Aramark and Franchise Policies and Procedures including Health and Safety Adhere to the Aramark Employee Handbook and Employee Trust Agreement Perform any other duties as assigned by a Manager Required Skills/Experience: Experience in a similar position is an asset but not required Food Handlers certificate is an asset Must be able to work in a high-stressed, fast paced environment Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as a team Must have strong customer service skill Must be reliable, dependable and trustworthy Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts, including evenings and weekends Must be able to read and write English First aid certification an asset About Us: Aramark (NYSE: ARMK) proudly serves Fortune 500 companies, world champion sports teams, state-of-the-art healthcare providers, the world's leading educational institutions, iconic destinations and cultural attractions, and numerous municipalities in 19 countries around the world.
