Job Title: Software Engineer – Full stack, Back-end or Front-end React Developer Location: Ghent, Belgium Hours: ~40 Travel: < 5% About the Role As a Software Engineer at Aprimo R&D, you’ll be building, testing and deploying an Azure cloud-based web application which allows users around the world to collaborate within the Marketing enterprise space. Our customers are well known enterprise brands such as: Ubisoft, AT&T and Bank of America. Your main target is to deliver an excellent, innovative SAAS solution which contains complex, state-of-the-art and yet user friendly and intuitive functionalities and provide global customers an excelling user experience. This user experience goes from scoping until customer support. In our technology we use many frameworks and technologies such as. Net, React, AngularJS, Powershell, Elasticsearch, Redis, SignalR, and others. The goal is to frequently deliver value to our customers without violating our 99.9x% uptime to our customers. Once the solution is available to our customers, you and the team should follow the new capability by checking the behavior, customer acceptance and resolve issues, if needed. You will be challenged to work with different technologies and to come up with realistic and technically sound solutions. Creating intuitive and performant software should be seen as obvious, because our solutions work with lots of data and have a broad, geo-graphical spread, and customer base. This you will do in a co-located team which is one of many teams across the globe (e.g. Amsterdam, Beijing, Birmingham, Manila, and Indianapolis). The teams work in an agile work environment where we continuous challenge ourselves to improve and take employee experience into account. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES § Your main responsibility is to develop software (new, adapt and extend) to make sure our software products meet the business and functional requirements. § Hereby, take ownership from design, over implementation to testing, focused on automated testing, make sure the solutions align with the technology vision, strategy and architecture, to be involved to adapt if needed. § Adapt the necessary periphery around the product to allow R&D and none-R&D teams to deploy the code and infrastructure, to monitor the system health and usage, and troubleshoot. § Be involved in the sustainability process by resolving bugs in production. § Perform in constructive team environment helping colleagues and co-creation. You take first steps in coaching and leadership Expert / Master: You have gained expertise in one or more domains and desire to take up leadership. E.g. technical coaching across teams, evangelize technology changes, and lead technical product changes. Similarly, we are open to people who are into front-end or back-end development only or want to work on the complete stack. About You Preferred Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business or computer-related discipline or equivalent years’ experience You enjoy working with several technologies and you’re eager to learn. You have solid coding skills When designing software, you take performance, upgradeablity, supportability, maintainability, product compliancy, and high-level architectural fit into account. You come up with realistic solutions related towards timing, technical complexity, and budget. You have experience working or would like to work on large scale enterprise applications, and know how to create performant applications which can handle big data and user loads. You like working on long-term software products and are not looking for consultancy gigs. You have excellent analytic skills to analyze customer issues, you’re persistent to resolve them and have good communication skills to keep all parties up-to-date. You have a passion for understanding customers and their needs. You have strong communications skills and are enthusiastic about cross-team collaboration.
